We Are Called for the Purpose
Romans 8:28, "And we know that all things work
together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according
to his purpose."
Understanding the will and purpose of God in our lives
1 - What is the will and purpose of God in our lives?
A. John 10:10 Abundant life. 3 John 3 Prosperity
B. Abundant life and prosperity is not overnight process we must pay the price.
If we want abundant life, we must grow in the knowledge of Christ 2 Pet. 3:8, How? By his word, 1 Pet. 2:2.
His word is the truth, John 8:32 The truth will set us free. Free from what? free from the bondage of sin.
2- We must know that we are called by God according to his purpose.
A. Each individual Christian has a calling and purpose of God.
* We are called to become children of God, we are called to do his will, we are called for the work of
the ministry, we have a ministry because we are part in the Body of Christ. Each part has a function
and purpose why it's there.

3 - If we are called by God according to his purpose we must understand that he entends bad to become
good.
A. Joseph understood that it was God who allowed something wrong happened to him for a good
purpose. Gen. 45:4-5
Sometimes we cannot understand of what happened in our lives. When bad cercumstances come,
sometimes we blame other people. If we do not really know the will and purpose of God in our lives,
we often blame others when something wrong happened to us.
We are not suppose to blame others when something wrong is going to happen, instead we must be
thankful. 1 Thes. 5:18
4. If we are called by God according to His purpose, we must response to his calling positively.
Many are called but few are chosen, Matthew 22:14 .
How good it is to be chosen.
